Update Thursday 30th October

Posted on Thursday, October 30, 2003 - 07:00 PM [Edit | Delete ]
Today residents have been very busy erecting defences in the street. This afternoon the baliffs van was spotted cruising up the street and back down again, the police helicopter also paid us a visit and circled a few times probably collecting a few choice snapshots for their album....

there have been quite a few police vehicles (more than usual ) passing through as well. All this points to the fact that the evicting forces of darkness might pay us a visit in the morning - friday - however there is nothing definite as yet.....it goes without saying that if anybody is in the area tomorrow morning the residents would be very glad to see them but I repeat there is no definite word as yet that they will come, however it is certainly wise for us all to be prepared.....
cafe is open and serving hot drinks....the work teams will be active through the night tonight....if you could spare a couple of hours to help that would be great....also we urgently need tools, drills especially, chain, scaffold clips, cement and concrete, d locks, wire mesh and grills, long nails, metal pipe, oil drums, lots of rope and anything else you think might be useful......
cheers : )

Northern Scotland is a good place for squatting

If the residents are looking for alternative accomadation then northern Scotland has got loads of abandoned farms and abondoned country houses that are ripe for squatting.
