Howard was responsible for the CJA

Michael Howard was Home Secretary when the Criminal Justice Bill (1994) was pushed thru parliament. He's a total knee-jerking bigot, as became evident from his opinions at the time. We occupied the roof of his house then as a CJB protest - when the builders were still working there - so we know how to get there if we need to do it again...

This could mean a couple of things for the Tories - either he alienates them from the mainstream of British public opinion even further by being an extreme right winger (which he is) or he does a more mainstream "family values" approach, modifying his opinions enough to actually get them elected - and once in power they then end up being even worse than before - you thought Blair & Thatcher were bad - Howard as PM will make Ghengis Khan look like a Quaker...

Whoever you vote for the government always gets elected

He was also in the Cabinet when the despised Poll Tax was introduced by Thatcher, now the Council Tax which keeps on rising, crippling the poor and providing lax services.

Its time we had someone like Michael Howard to pick this country up again from the mess the current Labour Govt has made. I hope he acts tough on asylum, crimes of violence and takes a stand against all the benefit cheats and compensation seekers that are destroying this once great country.
