fiction: The Death of Ariel Sharon

oznik-news | 24.10.2003 07:26 | Anti-militarism | Repression | Social Struggles

A Short story (or a poem in prose) by Andrew L. Wilson

It was snowing lightly in Jerusalem (by which I really mean if it were to be snowing lightly in Jerusalem), a side-driven windy snow late in the day when Ariel Sharon left the Knesset with his bodyguard, if he were to do so, and traveled the short distance by armored car to his home, and after a light dinner with wine and television went to bed somewhat early in the darkness with snow still rushing outside, a snow so fine and spare it would be evaporated by morning . . .

fiction: the death of Yasser Arafat

24.10.2003 14:28

Well... kind of fiction... expect it soon...

An unapologetic fascist and the most bloodthirsty terrorist leader the world has ever seen, Arafat, a disciple of Adolf Hitler's leading nazi in the middle east Haj Amin Al-Husseini, was born in Cairo and went on to invent a national identity for other fellow arab ultra-nationalists, which he called 'Palestinians', appropriating ancient references to a nomadic, non-arab tribe.

Arafat died a slow and painful death of stomach cancer in 2004, after agonising months that gave him plenty of time to reflect on the pure evil of his life, the thousands of innocent people that were murdered on his orders, and the pain and suffering he spread throughout the world.

Are you feeling well, kurious?

Your posts are almost always spot on, so what's happened here?

Arafat's an arsehole, but what's been written is still a trifle OTT, dear chap. You've got me worried for your health.

Is someone taking your name in vain? I find it unlikely that you've suddenly transformed into a rabid Likudnik?
