Sheffield IMC this weekend hosted a meeting of the United Kollectives [UK] Indymedia massive. The largest ever turnout showed representatives of new and established IMC collectives from around the UK.

The Drum [Sheffield Live], SHIFT [Sheffield Independent Film], The Rutland Arms, Access Space and St Mary's kindly donated space for the event, with discussion of the issues and progress of current independent media initiatives, and practical workshops in Video, Radio and community outreach taking place.

Many thanks to all who help organise and support the event, and all who took part.

Big up to all at Access Space, Jim, Tamy, Ed, Mozaz and the rest, from the bristol crew. Keep up the good work.

Here's a picture from last month, when imc bristol volunteers visited Shellield for a 4 week exchange programme between Access Space and the Cube Cinema [brisle]. For those that don't know, Access Space provides internet access and learning opportunities for all comers using 100% FREE linux technologies and recycled computer systems, aka the Redundant Technology Initiative. Good work guys - wish we had something half as cool in Brisle.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Look out for the forthcoming HARD-COPY online fanzine project, utilising free Indymedia software technologies, in a new and creative way.

Wicked!
