While Mumia Abu-Jamal was named an Honorary Citizen of Paris on saturday 4th October, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has denied his appeal on technical ground of expiration of time limitations, not on any substantive issues.

Saturday october 4th Mumia Abu-Jamal was named Honorary Citizen of Paris, the first such title given for over 30 years. The latest nominee was Pablo Picasso. In attendance of over 300 supporters, Mayor Bertrand Delanoye gave a medalle to Prof. Angela Davis who thank the people and the Mayor of Paris in Mumia's name. Meanwhile Mumia's appeal before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has just been turned down on every count--including the request for Judge Castille to recuse himself from all proceedings relating to Mumia's case. The appeal was rejected on the technical ground of expiration of time limitations, not on any substantive issues. It should noted that the members of this Court are elected, & nearly all have been endorsed by the FOP.
