I saw this advert in the Guardian's Weekend Magazine. It appeared half way through the Michael Moore interview(!)

The text was as follows:

McDonald's invites you to look behind the scenes.
(Doors open from Oct 18th).

This is your chance to view a side of our restaurants that customers have rarely had a chance to see before. From October 18th to the 30th, you can step behind the counter to watch our busy kitchen staff in action, as part of our new "Open Doors" programme. You'll be able, among other things, to take a closer look at the equipment we use to store and prepare your food and also witness some of teh 100 safety checks that we make daily in every McDonald's restaurant across the UK.

Please call McDonald's Customer Services on 0870 5244622 or go to www.mcdonalds.co.uk to book your visit, and we look forwad to welcoming you at the doors.

Hmmm, group visits?

04.10.2003 18:25

I'm tempted to book in and then invite some friends, say, a few members of my uni's People and Planet and other groups, and then I'll just turn up with them and say "hey I brought some friends". We could raise interesting questions with our tour guide, like "and how do you ensure that these workers get the breaks they deserve?" and "what sort of over time arrangements do you have if you're busy?" and so the list goes on!

(Guys, a few means about 5, unless of course you want to try and get a mass invasion going, i.e. loads of people come in a sit down, you walk up and introduce yourself for your tour, and then you cough, everyone follows you, flash mob style).
