SAY NO TO THE
U.S. SPY BASES
OCT 11th

"US Space Command – dominating the space dimension of military operations to protect US interests and investment. Integrating Space Forces into warfighting capabilities across the full spectrum of conflict."

"Vision for 2020" published by US Space Command in 1997

CND is initiating a national day of protest aginst the U.S. Star Wars plans. The 2 bases chosen as focus for this protest are Menwith Hill for the North and U.S.A.F. Croughton for the South.

Far from being an issue of defence as could be assumed from its public image, Star Wars is intended to set up the structure in space, using satellite receiving bases spread tactically around the world, that can be used for world as well as space domination.

The attacks on the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq could not have been so "successful", without bases like Croughton and Menwith Hill to give strategic guidance and information.

We will be running at least one coach from Oxford. If you are interested in buying a ticket, please phone Jean Kaye 01865 771046.
