Coaches have been organised by Liverpool Stop the War Coalition to go down to the London demo on 27th September

John Pilger has a documentary being shown on TV the 22nd of September at 10:45, ITV I think. It will show the real reasons for the war on Iraq showing footage from the likes of Colin Powell and 'from their own mouths' will demonstrate that the reasons they put forward to support war were untrue. Please watch this documentary and then please resolve to be in London on the 27th of September when the Stop the War Coalition, along with CND and the Muslim Association of Britain are calling for all peace campaigners to converge on the capital in huge numbers to show their disgust at Blairs war lies and the continuing slaughter in Iraq.
The march will be taking place on the eve of the Labour Party conference and will take place at the same time as a demonstration in Iraq, calling for the troops to leave. Blair gas invited Hamid Karzai, Afghanistan's leader to address the Labour Party conference, presumably to show the success of the "War on Terror". This is in spite of the resurgence of the Taliban in parts if the country, a bumper crop of Heroin and warlords being given control of prisons. Meanwhile in Iraq over a thousand children have been killed or maimed by cluster bombs and a 1000 civilians every week are being killed. Both Iraqis and troops will see us call for the end of the occupation. We will be breathing the same air and calling to an end to this warfare.

The demonstration in February did not stop the war starting, but it caused cracks to appear in the state apparatus which are ever widening with the government,BBC and the security services in chaos. Bush and Blair are now on the defensive. In years to come people may look back and see this as another historic turning point where either the anti-war movement shattered the confidence of the warmongers or they were able to renew it to target other countries such as Iran, Syria, North Korea or Cuba. We also have a chance to show that the Palestinians are not forgotten and that the war that should be fought is the war on poverty not the poor in this "New World Order".
