In the schools local to Excel conference centre housing the DSEI arms fair, the pupils have been forbidden to leave the school at lunch time.
They have been told that if they leave the school premises they could face expulsion.
Some children have left the school grounds and were escorted back by the police.
Police officers are stationed in local schools to enforce this curfew.

This means that the free movement of the local youth is being sacrificed in the name of the smooth running of DSEI.
We spoke to some officers in plain clothes stationed at the school gates, who were checking passes that the students had to show to exit the school premises.
So much for liberty!

They are shit scared, because the school kids know about civil disobedience. My local Comprehensive School requires students to produce an I.D to exit gates they once walked freely though and there is CCTV in the toilets, for the convenience of voyeurs.

As far as I know it's general policy - as of this september in some cases -
for Newham Secondary Schools
Not to allow kids on the street for lunchtime.
This is not because of having no feelings about having arms sold to the
dictators our many refugee children have fled, but because of hassles
from drug sellers and 'gangsters' on the streets.
