PLEASE Increase the fonts size on UK Indymedia

This site is very difficult to read for any length of time for visually impaired people--it causes eye-strain within a few minutes.
The site is constructed in such a way that prevents browsers from increasing text size. Why? Why? Why?

See the following site for ways to improve UK IMC visually.

in particular please note the following:
"For the visually impaired it is important for them to be able to increase font size for easier reading. Nearly all browsers have an option to increase text size but only if the web page is designed to allow it. Often designers specify the size of fonts in pixels instead of points or ems. This causes the font size to be fixed and can cause a lot of partially sighted people to leave the site rather than put extra pressure on their sight and read the content."
The Sheffield IMC site is much better:

font size should be browser controlled

I'm no html expert but suspect it is hard coded into a style sheet. When this site loads an article I get a flash of it in "largest" font size (my EI is set to largest) and then something overrides this and the article re-appears in "smallest"
This should not be a big deal to fix. Surely one of the great volunteers with html knowledge could take this issue on and make this site more accessable.
