mancpeoplesassembly@riseup.net | 05.09.2003 11:34 | Free Spaces | Social Struggles

The Second Manchester People's Assembly is taking place on the 4th october
from 10:30-5:30 at the Methodist Central Hall on Oldham street city centre.

The Manchester People's Assembly is a democratic forum to unite everyone
interested in creating positive alternatives to the current system. There
will be various workshops, discussions and skill shares on important issues.
The last People's Assembly attracted over 200 people hopefully this one will
be even more of a success. So far workshop topics include workplace
organisation, women in struggle, resisting ecological destruction, what next
for the anti-war movement, defending civil liberties, fighting the arms trade
and against racism. But this is not a final list, if you have any ideas for a
workshop or would be interested in hosting one yourself email suggestions or
any other messages to  mancpeoplesassembly@riseup.net or alternatively attend
the public planning meeting on 11th september at 7:30 Friends Meeting house
room 2 (Mount street, behind the central reference library).
