CABLE SANDS, A SUBSIDIARY OF JAPANESE MULTI NATIONAL NISHO IWAI(RESPONSIBLE FOR TRASHING PNG RAINFOREST) HAS THROWN EVERYTHING THEY HAVE INTO MINING 141 HECTARES OF THE TALL TUART FOREST AT LUDLOW, WESTERN AUSTRALIA. LESS THAN 2000 HECTARES REMAIN ON THE PLANET. VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY GROUP, FRIENDS OF THE TUART FOREST, HAVE OPPOSED THE MINE SINCE 1987, THE WESTERN AUSTRALIAN GOVERNMENT IS ABOUT TO DECIDE ON THE ISSUE IN 2 WEEKS.
