'Tô Bolado' is a song by about the Vigário Geral massacre performed by Afroreggae. The video clip for the song shows footage of some of Brazil's most notorious incidents of police violence, including the 1996 El Dorado massacre in which 19 landless activists were killed by military police in the Amazonian state of Pará. Grupo Cultural Afroreggae is an NGO that was established by young residents of Vigário Geral in 1993, the year the massacre took place. The NGO aims to give people from Rio's poorest areas, especially children and adolescents, a cultural focus and training in areas such as visual and performance arts and music in order to help them escape from the cycle of crime and violence which afflicts many parts of the city.
