The Mancunian: People's Assembly Bulletin

James Thorne | 28.08.2003 18:28 | Analysis | Ecology | Indymedia

The Mancunian is the bulletin of the Manchester People’s Assembly (MPA). It exists to bring alternative news and analysis to people who do not use the internet, or who don’t use the internet for that purpose.

This month includes news of recent direct action, demos and strikes in Manchester, as well as comment on the GMO debate, fluoride and Iraq.

It is funded by the Greater Manchester Stop the War Coalition.

In July and August it had pilot runs of 400 copies – this will increase in future.

It does not have an editorial line. All items therefore appear under their author’s name.

It includes material gathered from Manchester Indymedia, as well as original news, comment, and analysis. The content of each month’s Mancunian is agreed at the MPA/Stop the War organising meetings.

There will be a workshop on The Mancunian at the Manchester People’s Assembly on October 4th 2003 – if you want to help make it (even) better, come along.

Contribute to The Mancunian!

The bulletin comes out on the first Saturday of the month. Articles should be published on Indymedia or submitted to  squatticus@hotmail.com by the preceding Sunday in order to guarantee consideration.
