Save Christiania, 30th August, protest march in Copenhagen

Christiania is the Permanent Autonomous Zone in Copenhagen: an old military base that has been successfully squatted for decades now. It's most notorious for the open-air cannabis market at its center, but thinking of Christiania as a pot-market does it a terrible disservice. Christiania is a living proof of the possibility of life outside of the constraints of traditional govenrment, of the possibility of having a neighborhood secede from civil society and a city, and still remain an integral part of it. From the beautiful collage buildings to the brilliant blacksmiths who hammer out the Christiania Bikes that are prized throughout Europe, Christiania is fragile, beautiful and inspiring.

The Danish government, in an uncharacterstic show of extremely poor sense, has decided that it must "normalize" Christiania -- that is, raze it and kill it. Danes are not happy about this. If you're within rail-distance of Copenhagen on August 30th, you can help shame the Danish government into taking its hands off of Christiania at a mass demonstration.

Saturday the 30th of August 2003 special trains are departuring from Aalborg, ?rhus, Vejle, Fredericia and Odense. Moreover there will be special busses leaving from 45 Danish towns. Tickets can be bought at BILLETNET
The popular parade begins at Carl Madsens Plads, Christiania at Noon. The parade meets all the guests arriving by trains and buses at Copenhagen Central Train station at 1.30 p.m., where a short ceremony will take place. At 3 p.m. the parade reaches Christiansborg Castle (Parliament) where we'll give the publicly elected a piece of our mind. The parade ends at Christiania around 5 p.m. where a huge multicultural feast starts with many, many kinds of music and cultural entertainment. All bands, artists, speakers and performers, known and unknown join without any payment. Everything is done as a support to Christiania and what it represents.

For those who cannot get there this Saturday, Are there any email/letter addresses
of the Danish Gov' to send protest letters etc.?
What about setting up a petition. ??

Otherwise, Peace & solidarity to those at Christiania.

Forget the petitions. What`s needed is practical expressions of solidarity. Travel to Christiana and take part in physically defending the space. Organise deomnstrations and actions everywhere and make clear that all hell will break loose if Christiana is evicted.

Drug dealing - A problem

Perhaps this 'idealistic hippy community' could unilaterally offer to (genuinely) cease drug dealing and start sharing instead...this is after all the vision that is the aim...then the real communition could be saved perhaps, and become much better and radiate out to the wider society..i.e. the magic would be much stronger!

I've had a lot of dealings with drug dealers and seen how the way it tends to operate as an unconscious malign process to inhibite consciousness/reality change (rememebr reality is a function of consciousness)...because of course there is money in punter consciousness....

I'm doing my bit for the community risking my freedom, sanity and life protecting the Sacred Mother Goddess from the 'attentions' of the Earth rapists (in effect the ritual racist child abusers), so I would expect a donation from these people. Will they? like fuck. It is by the aforementioned rituals that the scism of 'westworld' is constructed, and it is by sharing that it is healed...Dealing perpetuates the abusive order in such a way that the 'downgraded' alchemic cloaks itself. If you are aware of this,and 'sells out' and continues dealing, then one becomes evil. Now you know, deal with the problem! I've had, as said, plenty of experience of this included when living with the UK 'peace convoy', where we turned over kilo's evvery week. Now from a different 'eco' perspective (more like a tribal witch than some sort ov hippy ghetto zombie,) these crew refuse to share, refuse to have respect for tribal witch, (in other words the goddess), are ready to 'fip out' into extreme (anti anti hippy) scizt out anger against 'dissenter'. really. Really you're a bunch of egoisng fucked up worthless scitzo's! How fucking dare you treat the Sacred Mother Witch like a punter. Fucking scum. How fucking dare you collaborate with the authorities in maintaining a system based on screaming racist child abuse, how fucking dare you threaten me with violence.
