10 Euro per person for the Iraqi Resistance
Anti imperialist Camp | 25.08.2003 12:21 | Social Struggles | World
Almost four months have passed since 'emperor' G. W. Bush declared the end of hostilities in Iraq. The rapid success of the US forces over the Iraqi army – due to the capitulation of the high command right at the crucial moment of the defence of Baghdad – made the Anglo-Americans believe to have achieved a total victory. Taking over Baghdad, they ridiculized the words of the Iraqi Information Minister. Now it is our turn to rediculize their arrogance.
Not even finished, the war started again. Only a few days after the collapse of the Iraqi army guerrilla forces began attacking the mercenaries of the occupation forces. They keep inflicting them losses which are of high political and morale value. Among the US bionic soldiers, fear is spreading. As Beirut and Mogadisho already have proved, that high-tech equipment is not enough to win a war.
Already hundreds of fighters are involved in the armed resistance movement and the tide keeps rising. Despite the media’s attempts to discredit the guerrillas it is evident that they got ample popular support. Children are exulting in front of destroyed US vehicles, while the occupiers thought that they would be waved with stars and stripes banners.
Now they find themselves in a quagmire which could tern into a new Vietnam. However, for the oppressed peoples the resistance is a dream. They hope that one day the occupants will be forced to leave not only from Iraq. We share this hope and want to support it with our militant solidarity.
We therefore invite all the anti-imperialists who oppose the anglo-american agression, without any ideological and religious precondition, to start an international collection of funds supporting the Iraqi national resistance movement: we ask every person to donate 10 euros. The Iraqi National Resistance Front in formation will decide upon their utilisation.
Committees, political, social and cultural organisations as well as individuals who endorse this proposal are asked to contact us. Our aim is to build an international popular campaign in support of the Iraqi resistance which also implies the creation of the appropriate international body. At the Anti-imperialist Camp in Assisi, September 2003, we will discuss together with the Iraqi comrades how to proceed.
For information and adhesion to that campaign please contact us.

I for one am going to support this initiative to aid the legitimate armed resistance struggle against occupation in Iraq!!
International and domestic law encourages this - the only people who might have a problem with it are the selfsame criminal bastard conspiritors who have initiated the Warcrime of Aggression - if they want to make an issue out of it, well, suck it and see, Mr. B.Lurt

Pigs fund violence

In our case we have to overthrow the pigs who are actively violating the rights of the Iraqi people.
Overthrow the pigs! -- this is the only thing that we can do and should do!

Only the Iraqi people, if given the chance to rule themselves will have to face some very difficult problems, not least the one of religion, with the population split into Sunni and Sh'ite followers (not to mention the kurds in the north). Saddam Hussein had to use brute force to keep this natural divide from spilling out into civil war.
Should the west pull out then the Iraqis would lose their natural enemy and start fighting between themselves.
Surely the only alternative is to replace the american occupying forces with a blue hat UN peace keeping task force?
This will give it that international legality is has so beem missing, reduce the 'west vs the Islam' feel of it all (and hopefully therefore reducing tensions) and will give the newly created government international credibility and the confidence to deal with the religious divide within its own borders using diplomacy and co-existence rather then conflict.

YOu are not fit to decide how and what is good for the Iraqis or anyone else.
YOu live in a pig country with pig rule.
Overthrow the pigs and become humans first then you may think about what is good for Iraq or not.
Again, the only trealisic thing you can do isto overthrow the pigs at home.
MAaybe you could chase away the pig military bases as the first action/advice on policies of foreign lands and people.
