fwd | 22.08.2003 15:18 | Anti-militarism | Repression

short update

On Friday 15th of August Simons trial for carrying an upside down American flag etc. should have been taken place in Edinburgh. It was rescheduled for start of September.

On Monday 18th of August, Ian was on trial for anti-war activities.
Ian was charged with malicious damage after smashing the windows of the local Labour party office, this was just after Labours illegal invasion of Iraq.
The Edinburgh artist feels he was driven to this by Labours war crimes and is pleading not guilty, he's fully supported by his lawyer Aamer Anwar (sp.) and
the Edinburgh Stop the War Co-alition.
The case is being heard on Monday 18th August, 10am. Edinburgh Sherriff Court, Chambers street.
Ian is one of only two or three people in Edinburgh facing charges for anti-war activities, please support him.

Please pass on, prisoner solidarity rules!!
