Sorry for the short notice. We have just learned that the BNP are holding a public meeting in Oldham tonight (Thursday 31 July) at 6.00p.m.at the Higginshaw Rugby Club, St Stephen Street, Shaw, Oldham. Protesters will be meeting at 5.00 p.m. at the Civic Centre Car Park on Rochdale Rd to go together to protest at the Rugby Club. If anyone can bring trade union or campaign banners, they will be especially welcome. Through united campaigning, we have done really well to stop the BNP winning any council seats in Oldham. Now we need to keep up the anti racist and anti fascist presence.

There is a swp in scotland they are part of the IST group which is a platform of the scottish socialist party similar to the cwi,rcn.ism .The ssp is made up of these groups and socialists who are not members of any group ,And yes there is some sectarianism from groups and fallouts but the ssp moves on bacause all belive that the movement is bigger
more important than bickering.

There are platforms, but we dont get all stroppy with each other (well most of the time!)

It was difficult to start working together at first, and there will always be debate about the way forward, but we all agree that we are SSP members first and foremost.
