Air force practising for something...

captain wardrobe | 23.07.2003 22:42

just back from a camping holiday...

along Hadrians Wall and we were continually buzzed by tornados flying 250 feet at high speed...twisting through the hillsides....
spoke to our Farmer camp-site owner bloke and he told of watching them
aim laser bombs at used tank targets which fire notice rockets when hit...

Question...

what are they practicing for?????

Iran??? Korea??? Syria???

love Capt Wardrobe

ps had a nice time though...
lots of anti war peeps in the country nowadays, it seems...

They might be practising for something (I certainly wouldn't rule the next invasion out) but when I was in Cumbria in 1983 my eardrums nearly burst after a very low-flying RAF jet went over. In those distant days of course the Russians were supposedly coming, but the British were not about to invade countries just like that, mainly because there were two superpowers in the world at the time and one of them was not the United States. You just may be unfortunate enough to live near an RAF base and be on some kind of regular flight path.
