SUPPORT NEEDED - Animal rights activsts have D-locked onto Banksy's new exhibition in Hackney. Spray painted live Cows, Sheep and Pigs are on display.

Banksy's new show opened in Hackney last night ( 479 - 483 Kingsland Road, London E8 ), Turf War has a Bull and a Cow tethered on a foot of rope in a scaffold pen spray painted with Banksy tags and Andy Warhole images, two sheep sprayed in black and white stripes, and two pigs painted in blue and white cheques (pigs, get it !). The opening night was rammed with onlookers and the temperature in the building was very hot and humid with no obvious presence of anyone tending to the animals. The music levels were very high and one of the pigs was displaying symptoms of stress (rocking sideways and throwing water / food container around pen).
This morning when the 'show' opened (10am) an animal rights activist D-locked herself to one of the exhibitions. The gallery was cleared and closed to the public (10.30am), at time of writing 1pm it is still closed and turning people away. The activist and associate are still in the building and support is needed, get down there.
