ipsiphi | 14.07.2003 18:23 | Social Struggles

today two important and ·historic· occupied social centres of the European okupe movement were closed.
In Dublin the discodisco centre the first autonomous space in that city for 8 years was illegaly evicted.
In Madrid Lab 04 was evicted.

Eviction = OKUPÂTION.

Lab 04 was okupied as readers may remember the day Lab 03 was evicted.

goto ireland.indymedia front page.

There were problems with computers in cyber-spain land today.
and so the news from Catalúnya, and Madrid was slow to get out.
this morning also evicted:
small house near Lab 04. there was a scare that another Madrid CSO (social occupied centre) had been got, but this was later clarified.

EFE the Spanish newsagency reported no arrests for LAb 04.

In Ireland, the eviction was most certainly illegal.
Ireland doesn't have the benefits of MAgna Carta, and thus "squatters rights".
for MAdrid residents:

RECORDAR:CONCENTRACIÓN HOY DÍA 14 de JUNIO a las 20:00 en la plaza de lavapies

we wait for LAb 05.
we wait for Dublin's autonomous space.
we never go away.
woof woof woof.
(I'm rightously annoyed coz i sent a postcard @ cost of 35 cents, complete with saliva, DNA, fingerprints and sample of my handwriting to the ex-Autonomous centre of Dublin).
I shall seek a refund.

woof.woof.woof.
