Hello everybody
The first open meeting for the RTS street party for DSEI will be on Tuesday 15th July at 7pm at The Autonomie Club, above Freedom Bookshop, Angel Alley, off Whitechapel High St, London E1. Nearest tube Whitechapel.
This is not an ideal venue, but there was a need to get a venue confirmed asap so we can get publicity out quickly, as it's only a few days away. Other - better - venues are being looked at for any future meetings. If somebody could put up a little sign pointing from Whitechapel High St to Angel Alley and to Freedom Books, it would stop new punters getting lost.
The street party for DSEi is planned for Wednesday September 10th during DSEi, Europe's biggest arms fair, which will be held at the ExCel Centre in London's Docklands. The arms fair is from 9th-12th Sept, protests and actions are from 6th-12th Sept. Info on the numerous activities planned is on www.dsei.org. The Reclaim The Streets (RTS) street party concept is being revived for a one-off street party-type action around DSEI.
Please publicise this forthcoming meeting as widely as possibe among your contacts and lists.
