Nike buy out Converse

Nike have bought out Converse, so its time to stop buying them..... anyone got any decent alternatives?

I once read in 'Ethical Consumer' magazine, that 'British Kight' were one of the more ethical (or the least unethical) brands of training shoe, although that was a few years ago. I don't even know if that company is still going, actually. sorry! I don't wear trainers....
