A small anti-war protest in Gaborone, Botswana

Today at noon local time (10:00 GMT), two protestors (23 year old male and 50 year old female) stood silently in front of the American ambassador's house in Gaborone, Botswana, one wearing an ARROW badge saying 'No War'. After standing for about forty-five minutes, we were approached by a woman from the 'American Regional Security Service' and asked what we were doing there. We said we were protesting against the war in Iraq. She asked if we were American and we said no. She left, only to be replaced by a large American who essentially asked us the same thing. He left, talked to some local policemen who came over and moved us, telling us we did not have a permit to protest. They took our details and asked us to leave. After a short and calm argument, we agreed to do so and began to leave. The large American hurried over and took a photo of the 50 year old female before we got into the car to drive off.
