Training for terror....

Dannyboy | 04.07.2003 09:12 | Terror War

If they think they can pull this off without massive protests then they are sorely mistaken.

An event like this is just begging for crowds of people lining the streets, ignoring the evacuation orders and carrying banners saying: "Forget the symptom, remove the cause" and "No justice, no peace" etc...

The exercise is expected to take place in 2005 and will involve senior government figures as well as emergency workers.

It will follow a huge operation planned for this autumn which will rehearse emergency procedures for a chemical, biological or nuclear attack on the London Underground. "

why bother?

why would anyone bother attacking the London Underground? It's on the verge of collapsing as it is, and I am sure there is a greater risk to passengers from broken signalling systems, collapsing bridges, wonky rails and the like than from any terrorist attack.

As a terrorist, you would not get many points for attacking something so defunct, you would obviously choose something big that works and destroy it totally, not pick on something terminally ill and push it over the edge.

Just a thought.

Remove the cause? First time I've seen anyone on Indymedia advocating the eradication of wahhabism.

You go and join your scabby mate protesting *rescue exercises* if you want, but you'll look like a total twat. Don't say I didn't warn you.
