Sheffield first-mainline bus drivers were on their second day of strike action for a better pay deal today. One striker said "the directors are all getting fat salaries and expect us to work for peanuts...our pay deal amounts to about 5 quid". The workers are set for a long haul with rolling stike days escalating over the next few weeks.
The bus workers had recieved support this morning from a local firecrew, workers at a haulage firm and passing motorists beeping their horns.
