Man charged over Murrell murder
A man has been charged
with the murder of peace
campaigner Hilda Murrell
almost 20 years ago.

Andrew George, a 35-year-old
builder's labourer from Meadow
Farm Drive, Shrewsbury, was
arrested on Friday.

The 79-year-old rose grower
was found dead in a wood six
miles from her home in the town in 1984.

She had been stabbed and her home had been broken into
and the telephone line cut.
(but only one wire, as I recall it wos a proffesional job)

Mr George, who was 16 when Miss Murrell died, is to appear
at Telford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning.

Detectives opened a review of the case just over a year ago
