Friarton 4 GM crop protestors go free.

Four anti GM protestors had their criminal damage prosecution thrown out by Cupar Sherriff Court on Tuesday (June 3rd). Following the Crown case, defence submissions of "no case to answer" were accepted by the Sherriff who told Judy Bennett, John Wilman, Bruce Bennett and Mike Arnott that they were free to go. The four had been arrested following the 'T in the Field' protest at Friarton Farm, Newport on Tay, on June 8th last year. Donations are still being sought towards legal costs. Cheques payable to 'Fife Against GMOs' can be sent c/o Dundee TUC, 141 Yarrow Terrace, Dundee DD2 4DY.
