well done?

well done to the swiss police? i wasn't in geneva, but i can clearly see that the levels of repression and brutality were akin to that in genoa (without the brutal murder of course). You are congratulating a group of people for effectively silencing the opinions and right to protest of thousands of people. how can anyone condone this, let alone praise it? is it any surprise that the protests were violent when the "important people" were 20 odd miles from the protesters, protected by anti aircraft batteries and rings of troops. repression by police occurs whenever protest does, peaceful or otherwise. The anti-war marches in london were good examples of this. I have tried to protest my anger at what happens in this world, by marching, shouting and sitting. the world hasn't changed. it is they, by their actions, that have forced me into believing that the placard must be combined with the molotov in order to not only get attention, but to actually change this fucked up world we call home.

dissolusioned with peaceful protest
