TA being sent to Iraq

more fodder

a local band up here in north tynside are having to split up because
one of them is being sent to iraq as part of the TA

has anyone else got any info know any one thats has the call-up?

i think it's ominous
are they shifting the 'real troops' towards iran???

if any of you had to put up with these boys with their toys
while at college or work should we be laughing at 'em saying
ooops oh dear !!! you knew the risks!!!

The US definitely does not have enough troops in Iraq. Possibly the British are thin on the ground in their zone too, so they're bringing in the Weekend Soldiers. Whether it means an imminent attack on Iran... Possible, but a little too early to say for sure.
I remember a Billy Connolly song:

I don't think it's that suspicious. I know that there are plans to move TA units to the Balkans in order to allow regular troops to go to Iraq to relieve the other poor buggers. But I don't know about more war plans.
If anywhere's next, it's probably Syria - attacking Iran would be completely impolitic as it makes the whole thing look more and more like a war against Islam, and even if that is the case, I think Bush will wait till after the 2004 elections before he tries anything like that...
