...not just teargas

...not just teargas and broken bones - solidarity and creativity defy "their" control

from one of the imc bases in London - a summary on Sunday's events written on monday morning, after we heard that two of our friends are seriously injured.

Despite the bloodlust of the corporate media reporting, stories are filtering through to us about what's really going on... obviously everybody has been really concerned about the two people most seriously hurt in hospital, as well as the people whose names we do not know who may be still in custody. Reports from friends of both people in hospital say that they are hugely cheered up by the messages of support they're getting, despite most mobile phones no longer working

Reports coming in speak volumes about the great solidarity outside the camp at Bourdonnette and in the detention centre - special report of pixie actions in captivity coming tomorrow, great displays of girl power and mad congo dancing. After all, 100,000 people took to the streets and when you check out the extent of the backlash, obviously the big boys realise we're not just talking to ourselves - the whole world is listening and we're making sense. It's not just been three days of riots: the camps and forums and social spaces having been rocking and the locals, in both France and Switzerland, have come out and actively supported the activists.
