general report from Annemasse, Lausanne, Geneva

This morning at about 9 lots of people started of from Annemasse, particularly from the VAAG to travel to Lausanne.
The Activists were travelling by all means of transportation, and squatting a train from Geneva to Lausanne.
In Lausanne there were several actions going on; a nacked demonstrations with the people only wearing balaklavas; and at 6pm there was another demonstration with soundsystem and many cyclists trying to enter the yellow zone, but the police blocked off the sidestreets to the harbour.
Otherwise it is possible to go directly to the red zone, it is partly blocked off with containers, but also lots of fences with lots of barbed wire on top.
Police and military is patrolling the zone with vehicles and some wierd sort of riffles.
There are many delegates in Lausanne, and lots of press and other people for the infrastructure of running the meeting.
Back in the village oulala in Lausanne, there was an nvda training going on, the activists were having lots of fun with the samba band supporting the training and practising sit-ins to bicycle barricades.
The pink and silver group has assmebled close to the lake, it is possible to swim there and as it is very hot and sunny, it is very appreciated. This small village has been squatted, so the village provided another space pretty close, about a kilometer or so away, for more people to join, as the space is limited at the lakeside.
There is lots ofdiy stuff going on, a golden cow has been plastered and some self-made adventurous swimming boats.
Also there are several tents , kitchen and bar at the lakeside with a punk gig planned for tonight going on till it is time to leave for the blockades in the very early morning.
It is a very nice place to chill out. The other space provided by the council has many and very good hygienic facilities, and some big tents for events, too, and is a lot quieter.
Going to Geneva, I ended up at the Usine, the independant media centre, which was just getting closed off and several streets blocked by police in riotgear with a watercannon and teargas cannister on their backs.
Apparantly there were some windows smashed close-by, it was already 2am, so you probably read the stuff which was happening beforehand at the timeline.
However, after some while of a little bit of tension- some drunken pple threw some bottles which partly went far away from the intended direction-, the situation calemd down and the police withdrew or better said drove away to somewhere else.
