3] Wartrose supports Rogue International Arms Traders

Waitrose Supermarkets, Marshalls stores and all Tourist Offices (except the
one in Stroud) are selling tickets for the Rogue International Arms Traders
(RIAT) see below. We have started a letter and e-mail writing campaign, and
people are beginning to send in details of their non-violent direct actions
and protests at the stores nationwide.

Currently Wartrose are saying that they're only sponsoring the RIAT to
support the RAF Benevolent Fund. We think there are a lot better ways of
supporting the widows and orphans of those thousands of people affected by
the bombing from USAF Fairford. And Islamic Relief would be another good
cause to support:  http://www.islamicrelief.com

for more details, see:
 http://www.fairfordpeacewatch.com/Wartrose.html

4] Poppy Appeal

We're having a Remembrance Day event later in the year which will involve
~ scattering poppy seeds around the perimeter of the base
~ laying wreaths and tying paper poppies to the fence.
PLEASE can people collect poppy seed heads NOW. We will need LOTS! They're
ripening in gardens all over the country, please dry them out and keep them
to bring with you later in the year or post them to us at:

5] 15 - 21 July Rogue International Arms Traders visit USAF Fairford

Peace protesters, Citizens Weapons Inspectors and Peacewatchers will be
visiting USAF Fairford from all over the country to show their disgust at
this display of weaponry from the military powermongers, while people
continue to die from the invasion and cluster bombing of Iraq from this
air base. The latest news is that a B2 bomber is to fly past. Details on
RIAT website:  http://www.airtattoo.intheuk.com/

SEND US YOUR RIAT PROTEST PLANS to publicise them on our webpages!

Bristol Stop the War Group's Demonstration:

19th July Bristol Demonstration:
12.00 noon Onwards
Meet Fairford High St. (On the junction of Mill Lane & Park St.)
"The Fairford Military Airshow (Air Tattoo) will take place from
15th-20th July. This event provides western military powers with the
chance to flaunt their power, & an opportunity for arms companies to
advertise their wares. This year the B52 bombers that were used for the
massive bombing of Iraq will be returning to Fairford, this time to
'entertain' the British people, along with the notorious B2 Stealth
Bomber.
People must understand that these weapons of mass destruction are
responsible for the death & maiming of 10's of thousands of people
around the world, & importantly that this mass slaughter has not stopped
& will never stop until we say no. Bristol-Stop-The-War will be
Demonstrating Fairford on the 19th July, we urge you all to do the same,
& to begin making preparations for this event now."
MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.

SEND US YOUR RIAT PROTEST PLANS for inclusion on our website.
