and maybe some people could read the site
seems to be alot who CANNOT read the colours
look at ur75 threads

ok its not readible as its not a web page
and a quick photoshop job but it gives a feel.
all it is is changing the dark grey for light grey
and the light grey for white it could be a tempory
thing but think it will help some.

Background colours

I think if the background of the newswire was made a lighter shade of grey (a whiter shade of pale?!), the title fonts would show up more clearly. I don't think it is necessary to use white as the background for the features column--too much glare. Slightly different shades of grey would suffice.

Colours (and size)

First of all, many thanks for doing this. It shows great compassion and enhanses our love for your activities. Some of us are in fact over 60 and sight fails us. Once again thank you. I don't know what that site was you talked about. u75? Should I look at what they have to say? Do you have an url?

Consider if you will Red Action. Their home page and their headlines are unreadable. However their discussion pages and news pages are as clear as a bell. Wonderful! (As is this page.)

So far as size is concerned: I use Netscape and under the "view" tab I click "larger" and lo and behold, the print is larger! The Micro Sloth product should have a similar feature one would think.

Return to your site a couple of times a day. It is my fave Indi site of all. Once again thinks for the effort and refreshing point of view.

hi

i changed the colours as proposed, and made also many other changes (explanation available on an email publicly archived at  http://lists.indymedia.org/pipermail/imc-uk-tech/ ) according to the comments and complaints we received especially from the u75 threads. Your comments are always welcome, this is the only way we can know if the readers like the new design or not! :-)
