A member of JIC staff has been asked by Omand to shred some of the original minutes of Scarlett's meetings with Spin Ali.

Others are to be altered.

The concern is not only about the 45 minute lie but also what Scarlett was ordered by Spin Ali to leave out of JIC reports to Phoney.

Powell has moved to get two members of the FA Committee to block Short's request that the Committee look at the intelligence.

He has also ordered that no notice be taken of Short's allegation that Phoney misled parliament on the French position.
