ROCK FOR IRAQ BENEFIT GIG
for Medecins Sans Frontieres

On Saturday 21st June (8th Week), Oxford Zodiac will be hosting benefit
gig "Rock for Iraq", organised by two students from Hertford and St John's
colleges.

It will feature music from a variety of genres, including a
joint performance from Cambridge hip-hop collective "The Delegates of
Culture" with London's "Untold", guitar rock from former Coldplay support
act "Grand Transmitter" and a DJ set from Oxford's very own Def Ape.

The proceeds of the night will go towards the humanitarian effort of
charity Médecins Sans Frontières.

The night will also boast free world
cuisine for a limited period (between 6 and 8pm), plus silent film and
poetry.

Yes, it went OK, not exactly hordes of ppl, but q.good nevertheless.

I heard a random rumour they even managed to make q.abit of money, which
considering the no. of ppl there and the (huge) cost of booking the Zodiac
is impressive.

But even better were the wonderful spontaneous solstice celebrations around
Port Meadow :)
