Attempted Attack of EC Summit

Report on Marmara, Chalkasis march from the frontlines.

After spending the last few days at the squatted Aristotle University (which apparently is not particulary out of the ordinary for Greek anarchists), we all woke up in the morning and in usual anarchist fashion left about an hour late. We arrived without incident at Marmasa, and a fairly large Black Bloc formed beneath the Salonika Resistance 2003 banner. Some strange "Ya Basta" or possibly "Wombliesque" people gathered at the very front, however, it was hard to tell if they actually did anything. The Black Bloc marched straight into the police. After the Black Bloc threw stones, the police attacked with a truly tremendous amount of teargas. I've been at most anti-globalization protests in the last few years, and this grade of tear-gas was far more dangerous than the usual.

I was blinded. The police launched volley after volley of tear-gas at the Bloc, and the Bloc responded by throwing rocks back and using sling-shots. However, while the Bloc threw stones the police threw giant fucking rocks and managed to injure a few members of the Bloc. The front of the Bloc, being overly tear-gassed, within minutes broke and was separated from everyone else. The police continued to pelt everyone with tear-gas, and tried to surround folks once or twice. One poor anarchist got separated, and throwing stones at the cops, didn't even notice he was surrouned on all sides until it was too late! I believe 3-10 folks got arrested, and overall the Bloc managed to put up an attack, but the police response was too over the top to counter effectively.
Today stones,
tomorrow REVENGE!

No arrests + about the dissobidient block

No arrests in today's action again the EU Summit, that's clear!

As far as the "dissobidients" are concerned, they (we) were about 300 people, dressed in a way that looked like YA BASTA! In front we had tires, and when we approached the police line, we jumped over the block made by cement and started pushing the cops. This lasted a few minutes, and we had a good fight, until stones started to be throwed by people from inside the Salonika 2003 block (idiots, because we were trapped between the cement blocks and the cops - I don't blame Salonika because they just couldn't control all the people inside their block).

Anyhow, we managed to move back and while the police was throwing TOO MUCH tear gas, we finally walked back to the place where the buses were.

3 arrests as i heard it, one girl who fell down was grabbed...
action fucked up because the cops outmanouevred us and we couldn't make to the highway so we were gasssed down a narrow road, i think people were shouting not to throw stones cos of the disobedienti but it ended up with people not getting up there fast enough.
gas was the worst i ever felt, mallocks (sp?) - stomach medicine only thing that makes it better.
