Comments on the new design etc?

I've just logged on to the new site and I have to say its a much better design and format since the last one, especially with the similarities between IMC ITALY with regional versions and some of the format.

I'm interested in setting up a newcastle indymedia website for the North East; currently I only have this URL newcastleimc.cjb.net

my email is up there for anyone that could give me help with or is interested in a Newcastle Indymedia centre.

Newswire title fonts too dark!

I like the new site generally.

Just a couple of small points. IMHO the newsire title fonts are too dark against the grey background. They don't stand out enough. Maybe they should be a shade brighter?

And I know that small fonts are currently fashionable on t'internet, but why does IMC have to be a slave to this ridiculous trend? The fonts on the old site were bigger and better. It is bad enough being bombarded by radiation from CRTs without Indymedia giving us all eye-strain as well!

It looks OK, but please, please take heed of Jim, and allow us to resize the font.

It's just too small to read comfortably, and I'm saying that as a person with reasonable eyesight. What a visually impaired person would think of it I hate to think.

Let's hope it's able to be a little less censorious with its categorisation of articles and so on.Having only just entered this new site, the only thing to give me some doubt is that hint about titling your comment, that direction to 'use a clear and meaningful title' Terribly New Labour.

i agree... the link colouring is far too dull against a dark grey background. u need contrast: light on dark and vice versa. anything else strains eyes.

I prefered the layout of the old newswire, where you could see how many people had commented on each article. And there seems to be extremely fewer posts then usual. But im sure everyone will get used to it.
