The bike caravan from Bern reached Vevey at 2pm. Together with a bike demo from Lausanne, they protested against the practices of Nestlé.

220 cyclists and some other vehicles from Bern (Switzerland) joined the Lausanne cyclists at 2 pm. Between 300 to 500 people occupied the crossroads in front of the Nestlé offices and listened to very informative speaches about their practices, for example the re-selling of food with run-out sell-by dates in Colombia, the coffee trade and trade with other food.

The message that some protesters in Geneva managed to open the gate at the WTO was happily received, but Nestlé was well guarded. The fence was covered in paper, now it's full of graffity.

Like all other demos in the last few days, this demo was accompanied of masses of press.
