The group, in which there are numerous children and elderly, arrived to Saravena after walking during more than seven hours from the settlement of Santo Domingo, municipality of Tame. They had arrived to Santo Domingo five days earlier, terrorized for an incursion of the paramilitary that took place in the resguardo of Beyotes. The paramilitaries that, according to the indigenous people, were members of the National Army with a bracelet of the AUC, assassinated, in front of the rest of the group, three men and a woman, and also raped four girls of 11, 12, 15, 16 years of age. The former victim was pregnant and the community of Guahíbo had to see horrified, how the paramilitary impersonators cut open her abdomen, took out the fetus, chopped up, and threw it to the river in a plastic bag together with the mother.
