Coca-Cola Boycott

Global Boycott in response to Coca-cola's Corporate Slaughter.
2 text articles covering the situation in Colombia (article 1)

As the world's best selling non-alcoholic drink, Coca-cola spreads the symbol of U.S. capitalist life throughout the globe. The Coca-cola company is ruthless in ensuring it's continued success with a long history of human rights offences and a blatent disrespect for worker's unions and environmental issues.

On 22nd July 2003 a global boycott of Coca-cola will begin to protest against the continuing tactics of the company in their ruthless pursuit of profits at any cost.

The boycott has been initiated by the Colombia Solidarity Movement in response to Coca-cola's violent repression of the union movement in Colombia and their links with the assasinations of union representatives. (Check out the attached articles for details)

The boycott, however, is not confined to the one organisation - just as Coca-cola's abuses are not confined to Colombia - this is an issue that cuts across organisations and anyone who is interested in taking part in the campaign against Coca-cola can subscribe to the "boycott-coke" list at "riseup.net" or attend the planning meeting on June 5th (See Calendar for details).

Expertise is needed from: Street Artists, Graffiti Writers, T-shirt/Badge/Sticker Makers, Ad-jammers, Publicity Stunters etc. etc. etc.
