Has any anyone know this group or been to their concerts. If yes what do you think about them? Apparently they have been banned from russian airways and they are bestseller in Russia. But What they say?

I went to see them, but I did not understand a word, as it was all sung in Russian. Their music, a mixture of Ska, rock, punk, jazz, and reggae, was very good. Nearly all the audience was Russian, it made a very good experience, listening to non-english music. I wonder if anyon else been there, or know this group. I am interested to know what their lyrics say.

Hi
I'm a fan of leningrad.
They lyrics speak about very many things like life in Russia, economical problems, drugs, vodka or just nothing. There is a few songs without any bad word.
if you have some more info to ask, just do it!

Meaning of leningrad

leningrad's started out with the first major album called 'Dachniky' which goes on about going to the country house in the summer planting potatoes etc. All this is sung with great humour. The album after 'Pirates of the 20th century' went more in to town life and vodka, the next album 'full stop' is quite a deppressing one with songs like 'angry bullet'and lyrics like 'no one likes us druggies'. The last album 'For the millions' has been a bit of a dissappointment as they have strayed from they're ska roots and Shnur has attempted to rap on it. Still good music though so buy it.
