As a case in point, I am one of those who believes Turkey (a country I know well) to be fascist, even though it has an elected parliament and a measure of free speech in the media. The country's political and social system shows many traces of the 1980 military coup and if you scratch the surface there is a strong whiff of Franco and Pinochet about the place. Recently the US authorities held direct talks with senior army generals rather than the elected government, an open indication of where the real power lies there.
Turkey is an ally of Israel, of course.

King was a very nice chap. If the Palestinians were like him, you'd have no bother. You could oppress them all you like without any risk of return fire or retaliation.
You don't seem at ease at all. A regional military superpower with X number of nuclear weapons, plus an alliance with the only world superpower, and you're still afraid enough to murder the Rachel Corries of this world!
