The Israeli government and IOF do as they will with Palestinians, with no one to stop them.

This morning, around 02.30, the UPMRC (Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees) field clinic in Nablus was raided by the IOF.

This is not the first time the UPMRC has been raided by the Israeli army, according to UPMRC officials it happens almost every second month. Usually the IOF is kind enough to knock on the door, but this day they simply blow the door with a shock-bomb.

40 IOF soldiers went in and fired 11 blank shots in the clinic and the clinic personel fled to the 2nd floor, where the soldiers fired 3 live shots. However nobody was injured or arrested.

This action by the IOF is clearly one of the ways that the Israeli army try to harass and stress the Palestinian people. The clinic offers medical aid and
first aid for the Palestinians in the old city of Nablus.

This attack is definitly a violation of the 4th Geneva Convention article 50, which states that any occupying force is to protect and cooperate with any medical relief organizations.

Quote from article 50 og the 4th Geneva convention:
"The Occupying Power shall not hinder the application of any preferential measures in regard to food, medical care and protection against the effects of war which may have been adopted prior to the occupation in favour of children under fifteen years, expectant mothers, and mothers of children under seven years."

Nablus Operations

IDF Forces Uncover an Explosives Laboratory Used to Manufacture Material for Suicide Bombings
During IDF operations in the Nablus Casbah, IDF forces uncovered an explosives laboratory that manufactured material for use in suicide bombings against Israeli civilians and security forces.

The laboratory contained 6 explosive belts, (3 of which were ready for use), 25kg of T.A.T.P explosives material, and additional chemicals intended for use in explosive devices. IDF forces also found a suitcase filled with explosives and ball bearings intended to increase the casualty rate.

The above-mentioned material was uncovered inside a tunnel that led to a weapons cache underneath the house. It should be noted that the weapons and explosive belts are only some of the items found in the laboratory.

The explosives laboratory was detonated in a controlled explosion before a thorough search could be carried out, due to the unstable nature of the sensitive explosive material. The explosive material posed a risk to the civilian population and could have harmed IDF forces if not detonated in a controlled manner.

This operation is part of IDF action against terrorist infrastructure and prevented numerous Israeli civilian casualties.

TATP? Controlled explosion? 25kg? Was there much of the building above left after a 'controlled explosion' of 25kg of this highly unstable compound?

Must have been quite cool in the cellar / tunnel, too - TATP has a nasty habit of sublimating if it gets a bit warm.

If the Palestinians are using TATP in their suicide bombs, it's a miracle that so many actually make it to the targets.

I shall treat your report with the large pinch of salt it deserves.

Embassies

I fully sympathise with calls to occupy the Israeli embassy, but the staff in them have been known to shoot people who try that. When Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Ocalan was kidnapped by Turkish forces some years back, it was and is widely believed by Kurds that Mossad helped the Turks catch Ocalan, and a number of Kurds tried to occupy the Israeli embassy in Berlin to protest. Several Kurds were shot dead.
It reminds me of a line in the film Schindler's List, where a middle-class Jewish woman complains about being forced to wear a Star of David armband and says, "Why don't I just take this thing off?" To which another Jew replies, "Then they (the Germans) will shoot you."
