G8 - The trouble begins....

Yesterday, May 21st, there were still no specific G8 border controls in Geneva Airport, but news have arrived that roads into Switzerland are, as of today, May 22nd, now heavily controlled... SO, be prepared to look nice and friendly to global powers when trying to get into Switzerland. One of the convergence centres / info points in Geneva - in the university in the "Bastion" (park and uni-building) is up and running since Monday and friendly people are there to take care of arriving activists. There is a bistro on "Rue de Philosophe" near to the uni (Bastion Park) which serves cheap good food (although not a vegetarian place, it seems one of the most progressive places in this town of plenty - real people in there!!) On Sunday there is a meeting in Lausanne (Dorigny - see news in French at 14.00 / 2pm - because the negotiations with the authorities about the "oulalah" village (Pink & Silver Convergence) are falling apart. See you in Geneva/Lausanne/Annemasse at the G6Billion...... (//m/))

How to get there: From the train station take the subway to 'The Flon', and then another subway (direction Lausanne-Ouest) to the stop at Dorigny.
