Organised by the Stop All Imperialist Wars Against Africans Campaign.

This is to invite you to this year's African Liberation Day (ALD) demonstration/rally on Saturday 24 May 2003 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. This will be in front of the World Bank office, 80 Haymarket, Trafalgar Square End, London SW1 (Nearest station - Charing Cross). This is being organised by the Stop All Imperialist Wars Against Africans Campaign, which has been initiated by the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement (IPDUM) and the African Liberation support Campaign(ALISC).

African Liberation Day emerged out of the freedom struggles of African people throughout the world in the 1950s and 60s. All around the world, African people are still struggling against colonial domination at the hands of the imperialist countries - both on the continent of Africa and in these imperial centres like the UK and the US. African Liberation Day was first initiated by Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of independent Ghana, who understood that the future of African people throughout the world was in our unification!

Everyone Should be There!

As the U.S. is now targeting Nigeria and other west African countries for their oil, we need to support this event more than ever! Tell Blair and his corporate thieves to stop scouring Africa's resources and impoverishing its people! NO to the IMF/World Bank and WTO!

And don't forget to BOYCOTT THE U.S.!

He's the problem

Have you ever thought that people like Kwame Nkrumah are part of the original problem. He spends all his time living and working in the US and UK. Goes back to Africa and as soon as he's in power declaires a one-party state and himself president-for-life.

Kwame Nkurumah is no longer with us ..so what the hell you talking about!!!

I'd rather hear what Africans have to say about the future of their continent than some racist westerner who in time-honoured tradition thinks whites know what are best for Africans

Look at whole piece...

Well starcar, I think if you had looked at the whole piece you would have seen that Kwame Nkurumah was specifically praised. You also may not be aware that many people of all colours think that one-party states are not in the interest of the people.
