Give support for brave TV.

C4 Dispatches showed a programme on Sunday night called "The
>Killing Zone"
> >which was a courageous attempt to depict the true nature of the
>Israeli
> >Army's attitude to both the Palestinians in Gaza and Westerners
> >(journalists and protestors) who are trying to provide evidence
>of what is
> >going on. They have subsequently been flooded by protests by
>supporters of
> >the Israeli policies. A summary of the programme is provided
>below.
>
> >IN SHORT, for those who have time, you may want to send a short
>email to
> >channel four on  viewerenquiries@channel4.co.uk
> supporting them in their
> >decision to (a) make the programme and (b) air it during prime
> >factual/documentary programming time. Those involved in the
>programme tell
> >me that it is a small act but that it will count for a lot -
>particularly
> >if we realise that groups with opposing views will be sending
>mass emails
> >to C4 discouraging them from making and airing such documentaries.
>
>THE PROGRAMME showed that the Israeli army has fired missiles into
>crowds
>of civilians (including children). In addition to this, the programme
>presented evidence that the Israelis were aiming fire at journalists
>- they
>have killed two British journalists in the last few weeks. Israelis
>claim
>the journalists were in the line of cross-fire but video footage
>shows that
>this was not the case.

Don't censor your self

I can understand why u may have got rid of your tv but not all programmes are quiz shows, soaps and the like. Get a tv mag, free with or without most weekend newspapers, check for anything that may sound of interest and watch only these. Completely disregarding one source of information is not the way to "enlightenment".

oi!

..boom boom..

But what if like me you've given up 'newspapers' too?

Never mind the great telly/no-telly debate; contact C4 as the main article suggests and thank them for having the courage to report honestly. Because the same people who spam IMC will be besieging C4 to try to shut them up!

can't seem to find a repeat, looking at the tv page and the channel4 website. There a good outline of the program here though:  http://www.channel4.com/news/2003/special_reports/dispatches_killing_zone.html

Hot on the heels of the C4 documentary

Correspondent - BBC2 Sun 25 May, 7:15 pm - 8:00 pm 45mins

Behind The Fence:

In June 2002, Israel began construction of a massive security wall in the area of the Green Line, the unofficial border where Israel meets the occupied West Bank. The wall, the Israeli government said, was designed to prevent Palestinian 'terrorists' from entering Israel. This film unfolds as the world is preoccupied by the war on Iraq and barely shows a flicker of recognition or interest in the wall, despite its huge implications. Inigo
Gilmore reports.

Stereo/Widescreen.

--------------

It's perhaps a bad sign that the show employs Sharon's twisted logic to describe the show -

30 foot high concrete, 100's of miles long and they call it a "fence"

but it may offer a rare insight into the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Gosh C4 is as anti-semitic as BBC
