Is it just me or do others find that in the periods between summits, maydays, wars etc the anti-capitalist left lacks any focus or direction? It seems to me that inbetween these one day actions or acute crisis (i.e., short wars) people -including myself- retreat back within the confines of small affinity groups and fail to broaden links between one another.
What do others think about the idea of an anti-authoritarian stop the war type of umbrella organisation? Surely this would help with developing contacts in the periods between wars etc so we could be all the better prepared for the next war. Such an organisation might even draw new people into the movement who oppose capitalist wars but at present get attracted to the SWP dominated 'stop the war' as this is the only show in town!
Organising protest to war is far too important to be left to the Trots!
