a diatribe on royal responsibility

David Arthur Johnston | 16.05.2003 03:36

a letter to Queen Elizabeth

Dear Elizabeth the Second, Queen of England

In humility,

Please, have no doubt that I know we are siblings, 'of the same stuff', one may say and, to be blunt, I wish to remind you that love is your boss. I have yet to see indicators of your maximum benevolence... we are love and the reliance on pride retards and destroys us... please forgive any assumption, my only excuse being knowledge of the responsibility of royalty... maybe my own pride blinds me and I act in haste, I do not know- but what I do know is that I am perfect and not to have the best assumed of me is a violation of my right.

To know happiness at least once is to have enough to divine divinity.

in love,

me,

who is you,
