The day started with all the women from all the surrounding villages meeting in Mas'ha. These women have already had their lands, water, greenhouses, schools and homes confiscated to make way for the Apartheid Wall.

After this, hundreds of Palestinians in this small village started a protest march up to the camp, having to climb down over the ditch and the piece of the wall which has already been erected - just to get to their own land!

At the camp, which has been going on permanently for six weeks now, a permanent stage has been erected, the camp has wireless internet, a generator, information boards about the Wall across the whole of the West Bank, and an artwork of Palestine with a fence dividing it up into pieces. Just after the commemoration, the Israeli police said that they are going to shut the camp down tomorrow, and the tranquil olive grove will suddenly become a "CLOSED MILITARY ZONE". Why?? Why???
